This documentary takes us into the day-to-day business of water in Port-au-Prince's slums. By analyzing the impact of the program to supply water to the city's slums, the film shows us how one small drop of water can really make a big difference.

Since 1995 the program financed by AFD and implemented by CAMEP with support from GRET has been supplying the poorest with water that they buy at standpipes. Almost 60% of the city's population have no direct access to vital drinking water. These water points are consequently a source of immense relief and give reason for hope.
The standpipes also play a role which goes way beyond their original purpose: they are managed by the population, they promote the development of these areas by bringing peace to the neighbourhoods and they bring democracy. Women also enjoy better conditions and the daily lives of all are improved. The only drawback is the lack of water!
